The second game of the blitz saw Northend starting brightly with an early goal from Callum Hendron. The second goal soon followed when Sean McDermott finished well. All the hardwork in training paid off when Pol Pius Donegan scored from his own corner to cap of a great day for the young blue and white hoops side.

Northend Youth 1 Dungiven Celtic 2 Saturday 19th October 2013
Northend Youth travel to Ballysally on Saturday to play a three tournament blitz against Dungiven Celtic and Dungiven Youth. In the first game the side went 2.0 down early but to their credit battled right to the end and pulled it back to 2-1 with a goal from Callum Hendron. The young side were very unlucky not to get the draw hitting the post twice in the latter stages of the game.

Institute 0 Northend United 1 Saturday 12th october 2013
Northend United U8s travelled to Ballysally o Saturday to take on Institute and Roe Valley in a three tournament blitz. In their first game the young Northend side played Institute and from early on Northend pegged the Institute side back, continuously raining shots onto the Institute keeper. One of these shots by Callum Burnside was brilliantly saved but the ball fell nicely to Callum Hendron to finish, giving the Institute keeper no chance.

Northend United 1 Roe Valley 1 Saturday 12th October 2013
In the second match the young Northend side played a strong Roe Valley side that had previously defeated Institute convincingly. Northend battled hard and soaked up any early pressure. This pressure did count, when after numerous corners, the Roe Valley striker managed to squeeze the ball into the roof of the net giving Paddy Murphy no chance in the Northend nets. To their credited Northend battled on and where rewarded when a shot fell nicely for Conan McKeown who finished with his right foot. A draw turned out to be a fair result for both teams.

Ballymoney United 2 Northend United 2 Saturday 5th October 2013
The Northend U8s played a strong Ballymoney side and left Ballysally with a hard fought 2-2 draw which they deserved more out of. Northend settled well but against the run of play Ballymoney got the lead but were quickly pegged back by a Callum Burnside goal to leave the half time score 1-1
Northend started the brighter in the second half and it wasn't long when they scored again with the help of a deflection. To their credit, Ballymoney levelled the score to the bemusement of everyone but Northend were denied the winner by a combination of the Ballymoney keeper and some last ditch defending.

Northend Youth this week came down to Coleraine to play Institute who had defeated Northend United U8s last week. Unfortunately the excitement of the day seemed to get to them as they were 4-0 down at half time.
To their credit they came out second half and were a different team. Callum Hendron opened the scoring for Northend, quickly followed by Pol Pius Donegan, to leave the score 4-2. It was all Northend at this stage of the game and it wasn't long before Conlón Lyness added another goal to make the score 4-3. In a nail biting end to the match, Northend had chances to score but couldn't convert them, leaving the final score 4-3
This was a great second half effort by the lads, playing together as a team for the first time.

Institute 1 Northend United 0 Saturday 28th September 2013
The Northend U8s travel to Ballysally, Coleraine for the first time to make their debuts in the NWCDYL against Institute FC. After weeks of hard work in training this was the first match for this young team. Institute started the brighter and it wasn't long before they scored the only goal of the game. Northend battled hard and created a few chances that on another day may have gone in. Special mention needs to go to the defence of Justin Marks, Alex McPeake and Lewis Devlin who marshalled the Institute forwards well. The young team will learn from the experience and would like to thank North West and Coleraine district league for the opportunity.

Larne Youth 6 Northend United 8 - Friendly Saturday 7th September 2013
On a very wet Saturday morning Northend's Mini Soccer games against Larne Youth were called off at Sandy Bay, but the U8 game moved into the Larne leisure centre were both teams played six aside games. Infront of a large crowd of parents from both clubs the U8 teams put on a great display of football for a young age with both teams scoring plenty of goals to keep the crowd entertained.
Goal scores on the day for Northend were Lewis Devlin, Callum Burnside, Paul Pius Donegan, Calum Hendron, Daniel Patterson, Conlan Lyness, Kevin McAllister, Pearse McAuley, and the star on the day was Alex McPeake.
Northend's mini soccer teams are looking forward to the return games this week in Ballymena. The Northend coaches and parents would like to thank the coaches and parents of Larne for the hospitality after the game on Saturday at their clubhouse.
